Im swapping my a4ld to the m5r1 manual and i cant find a 4.0 5-speed truck with cruise control. so i was wondering if the truck doesnt have cruise control and mine does can i use the computer out of the 5 speed truck and still use my cruise control?

If you ever hit the clutch with cruise on, you won't like the results.

And if you can't find an Exploder with a 5speed, you aren't looking. They ALL have 4.0Ls and cruise.

will a computer out a 91 explorer work in a 94 ranger? i know the 91 explorer doesnt have an egr valve and my 94 ranger does, that shouldnt cause a very problem would it? i could just remove my egr valve.

Ok, first off the Engine computer has NOTHING to do with the cruise control
on an EEC4 RBV.

The Clutch multifunction switch DOES.

Your auto trans truck has the cable connector for the clutch switch,
but it has a jumper/shorting bar "plug" in it.

Does your 1994 Ranger have EGR and/or a camshaft position
sensor (aka synchronizer)?

I have BOTH types of computer onhand for manual transmission 4.0's
and I'll be in south bend before the weekend.

hey alland about when will you be in town. im leaving thursday night for a trip and am hoping to take my truck if i get it done. i have an egr valve and thats all i know i dont know if i have a cam sensor. i picked up a 91 explorer computer and was hoping that work. the reason i got this one is the junkyard owes me money so they let me take trhat then money kinda like a credit. if this will work then i will use this one and if not how much do u want for the right computer? if you wanna call me my number is 574-261-8643 my name is nick.
