I just put some in mine. Very easy to do so.It does come with papers (if you need them) Red wire to power. Black wire to ground, and plug the conecters to the gague from the inverter. Very very simple.
Only thing I don't like is there is an on/off switch that you need to turn on every time. I have mine wired to the power switch from the head lights so when I turn my lights off it will turn them off. Looking for a way to have them turn on when i put the lights on.

Get a relay. They have 40A "automotive relays" at RadioShack

I understand relays, but in what way are you saying to wire it.

Just have the pilot wires (the smaller ones) connected to the wires for the headlights or some other switchable light. That way when you turn on the headlights, the inverter or whatever it is, comes on. 'Ya dig?

Or maybe I am misunderstanding what you are trying to do. Aren't you trying to wire it so that the lights come on when you turn on the headlights? It sounds like you already did that...so what's the problem? Or...not...? More information would be helpful....
