I have a 2003 b3000 that cuts out at around 3000 rpms. If back off the excelleror it straightens out. I first noticed it when I reached 80mph and thought it was due to the load and speed, however it seems to happen when ever the tach is around 3K in any gear and I need to be excellerating.
My son asked in this forum and he was told that it was probably the egr valve....unfortunatly the 2003 doesnt have one.
Does anyone else have any suggestions? Possibly the fuel filter? The engine runs great at all other times.
I hate to change parts out without testing first and the manual I picked up doesnt show how to test the components.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
