I recently purchased and 04 3L 2WD Supercab Edge and decided to do some mods, so I purchased a K&N CAI, unfortunately I purchased before I studied. After reading all the boards on the K&N system, I have decided to send it back for a refund minus 25% restocking fee. I was thinking of putting it on and doing some oil analysis to see if the silica goes up. But,the straw that broke the camels back was the guy that did a dyno before and after the mod and saw the hp go down. So, Im thinking I'll leave the intake alone, after all, the other Rangers I had all had paper filters, the last was my 99 with 185k on it and the oil stayed clean all the time. So, I've had good luck with paper. Just not sure which is the best paper filter to get?

I think I made a good buy on the Dynomax Cat back system and I'll put it on myself. Thinking of other mods like a PCM tune, bed extender, maybe some bilstiens and a Powertrax Locrite. (I've installed one before on my own in a Dana 30)
