2.3l swap to a 3.0 or 4.0

I was wondering if its possible to swap a 2.3 liter out of an XL and install a 3.0 or even a 4.0 v6
Would you have to swap in a new tranny and diff?

Axle will work, but I haven't been having luck this year with the 7.5 behind my 2.5 (granted it had 170K on it before the rebuild, but blowing up again when I am 3000 miles from home leaves a bad taste in my mouth) I would say leave the axle for a 3.0 and go to a 8.8 for a 4.0.

All of the engines have different bolt patterns, so you need to get a different 4x4 trans depending on which engine you use...2wd cannot be easily swapped over.
