I got Autodesk Inventor Professional 2008 for free, I torrented it. I used the program in highschool and after awhile I wanted it.

Errr...

I got a 30-day free trial of AutoCad by registering with my student (college) e-mail address, to do a school project one time. Not sure if they still do that, or not, though.

Autocad gives free 30 day trials right off their website. So much work goes into creating autocad though that noone should feel bad about paying for it. The stuff is a frekkin machine with all the things it can do.

I have TurboCAD that I got at OfficeMax for $30, it isn't nearly as nice as AutoCAD but is much much cheaper and a lot better than a pencil and a T-Square.
