Are the dash controls supposed to be backlit?

I just bought this truck and there is no owner's manual.

At night, in the dark cab, the only light coming from the dash is from the instrument cluster and the radio. Are the heater controls, fog light switch, and headlight switch supposed to be backlit? They are not lit and are difficult to see at night. Blown fuse? Burned out bulbs?

Thanks for that answer. If the headlight switch is not backlit, guess I won't bother to rip the dash panel out to replace the bulb that isn't there anyway.:yahoo:
