anyone build an edge with 3 or 4 link in the rear?

Link systems are not that hard, just take your time and plot out what you are looking for, then build it. I am ready to get mine on the trail and see what it does (but its not on a RBV)

I know they are not that hard but what is going on the truck the owner has decided not to have me build the link kit. I will be caging and installing the links, axle, and everything else.

FYI this is not a crawler project.

So your wanting to build a 3 link or 4 link with the Huge trailing arms?

Like so?

stadium truck? what the hell are you smoking? Stadium racing hasn't happened in 15 years! It's evolved into CORR, WSORR, and tuff trucks. Those are way different than a desert truck.

Actually, I'm not smoking anything. Had you wanted to build a desert truck, it would have been my suggestion to include that into your original post. You may not be aware of this, but 3 and 4 link suspensions can be used in a variety of different applications ranging from drag racing to extreme rock crawling. But as smart as you are, I'm sure you already knew that....

Hey thanks for not adding anything thing to this post!

How about a 5 link? Oh but that will never work will it.

Your answer will depend on what you are doing with it. True link suspensions are used in a lot of applications but the are built differently. If you are going for long travel and jumps then the above kit from giant would be the way to go. Triangulated 4 link if I remember correctly, they may offer a 3 link also. If you are going rocks and such you could scratch built that yourself from tube, no need for the massive lowers that a prerunner uses. Pirate4x4 has a few calculations you should be looking for in building a link suspension. A 5 link or 4 link with track bar is good mainly for the street, the track bar is the limiting factor in the suspension travel.

Well the edge I'm caging front to rear, the owner decided to get a 3 link kit from Our friends at Fiberwerx and FXfabrication I will be tearing into the interior and measuring for steel this weekend.

Here are some pics

And no the rebar is not part of the kit that will be used in the concrete to mount my bender.

Hi,
I have a rear 3 Link, but parallel, with a panhard. The rear flex is awesome, and for crawling is great:

Hope it helps...
