Looking at putting these on my truck. I miss the black rim look since I think the chrome O.E. Splash wheels just don't fit the look I have now. I've looked at this and other forums and if I want to run a 275 60 15 on the back I'll want a 15x10 Soft 8. The forums have stated to run a 6.5 back spacing so the wheel will sit right in the well. Cragar's Soft 8 15x10 has a 4 back spacing.

My question is as many Rangers I've seen with Soft 8's has anyone run this size tire with the 4 back spacing? Does it sit in the well right? If not is there another manufacturer that makes the same wheel with a 6.5?

Any help would be great :icon_confused:

I run 235 75 15 on mine so I doubt I can help you. They look pretty damn good though I wish I had a picture of them clean

Cragar Soft 8 Question

dude stock rims run 4.5 backspacing it will rub a stock tire on 6.5 back spacing...... and a 10in wide rim is too big for that size tire check out 15x8 w/3.75 in backspacing. maybe i was drinking too much but even airing down for the track will help with 8in. rims

check out summit racing for these rims. i just bought some cragars off of their website last month and they had a large selection of each rim with different back spacing.

x2, a 275 is just under 11" wide, a 15x8 will be better than a 15x10.

Well 15x8's would save a few bucks and match the front but my question is / was if I run a 15x8 with a 4 back space and run a 275 will the tire tuck in the fender well or will my baby suffer from the bubba pooch? I don't want any part of the tire past the lip of the fender.

No offense to anyone that likes that look but I don't wanna look like a 74 camaro with oversized air shocks and way too much tire in the ass. Until I can afford major axle adjustments and tub my bed I'm looking for a muscle car look from the rear.

they come in 4" and 4.75" backspacing if the tire stick out is an issue. however im not sure if it will stick out past the fender.
