need some wiring help please....

so the guy i bought my harness off of neglected to tell me that he had cut and spliced into it previously.... which leaves me with a wiring nightmare seeing as how wiring is definitely not my area of expertise.... if someone could please take a look at these pics and clue me in as to what they are and where they go to id really appreciate the help.. he did mention something about some of the wires going to switches.... thats all i know about it....

Its honestly kinda hard to tell... What engine is it for? (5.0L I assume?) What engine do you have? Are they the same year or close? do you know where most of the wires go? can you still call the guy?

And a picture of the whole harness might be nice. all I can think is maybe switches to extra lights or accesorys he didn't want to run all the time.
