3.0 Motor swap

Does anyone know how well a 3.0L out of a 97 Ford Ranger will go into a 99 Ranger? The 99 I want to put it in has a blown 3.0L. Like will it just drop in and hook up or was there changes from the 97 to 99 that would affect it?
 
ok so say it was a flex fuel (not sure but I dont think it is flex fuel). i can use the longblock from the 97 and change over anything that is different and run it with just regular gas?
