well, i had this problem over a year ago. and now it's back again..

check engine light came on over a year ago, and it was P0401 "egr flow insufficient" back then i didn't know too much about my truck, and hadn't really searched TRS, so i just replaced the egr valve. no luck. then i found out about the differential pressure feedback sensor, mounted right there on the intake manifold. that those we're notorious for being faulty on the rangers, so i replaced that, and oila problem fixed...

yesterday check engine light came on again, and had the code pulled, same code again. should i replace the idle air control? my truck does stumble every once in awhile and act like it wants to stall, but never does. other than that it idles really nice.

i know the egr thing really isnt that big of a deal, and i'm not going to go crazy to get it fixed, but i just hate looking at that light.

any ideas?

If your IAC is starting to go...then go ahead and replace it. However, I honestly don't know that replacing an IAC will resolve the code you are getting. Someone else with more knowledge on that could chime in with a definite answer there.

As far as the code goes, check the DPFE and the hoses, even though you replaced them recently. They are known to be problematic. Plus it's cheaper to replace that stuff again than to replace the EGR.
