I have a stryker 490HP with a freq. counter. A CB gives you just those 40 channels, the 10 meters give you something over 200 channels, some are not for voice communications, and most of them you need an FCC lisc to talk on, join your local radio club and they can help you out getting your technician lisc.

I have a midland 5001z in my truck. I don't use it much since right after I got it all set up all of my friends who had CBs had them break all at the same time (maybe they just don't want to talk to me)...

Its a good radio though. I like it and its has some nice features to it.

honestly i voted but i have no idea but I would like to get a cb my family has a 10 meter for farm use. they have a lic. so i think they could help me get mine, ill let you know if i find anything out.

10 Meter you need a license for. If you desire to get your license and only want to talk locally, I would get a 2 meter radio instead. Lots more local people will use the 2 meter band.
