I was working on my truck today. I was messing with the back bumper and just cleaning up the truck. Then I went to start it up tonight, and it won't even try to turn over. I hear no noise when I turn the key. About 5 seconds after I turned the key, I hear a clicking noise coming from under the dash like a short. Even when I take the key out I still hear the noise.

Any Advice is Needed

Problem Solved :)

When i was working on the truck today, i am thinking my door bumper for my interior lights was jammed (its happened before). So the interior lights were still on when the door was closed. I couldnt see this because it was still bright outside. But when night fall, my battery was already dead. When I finally noticed it tonight, the voltage was so low from the battery that it was making my relay chatter. Once i jumped the truck, everything was fine. :yahoo:

Good one.

At least it was something simple.

glad to hear that you got it fixed. but wait dont these trucks have a battery saver that keeps stuff like this from happening i know my 97 did and my 07 does too when the interior light is on for a few mins it will turn off.

They are supposed to. I think it may have been only an option in the late 90s, and sometimes they do go bad letting the battery drain down.

Its also possible that his battery was on the edge already and it was just enough to kill it.
