I just got my ranger with over 100k on the clock. I noticed tonight that there seems to be white smoke coming out of the exhaust.

The day prior I had a heater core installed and the radiator flushed......There was about a quarter tank of gas in it. I took it out this evening to put some more fuel in it, that's when I noticed the white colored smoke from the exhaust. About two days ago I added the Lucas fuel injector cleaner.

The exhaust did not have a sweet antifreeze smell and the oil was clean and clear. (The oil was just changed the day before as well.) No Frothy mixture of coolant/oil....The temp gauge is fine and the idle is dead on. I see no evidence of leaking coolant.....Any ideas? Thanks!

Seems to run fine too.......

what year and motor
if its a 2.8v6 its prob valve seals(my next project)

does it go away or almost go away when its warmed up? if so, its steam.

Didn't seem to go away.......

As a footnote, I haven't driven the truck for long periods of time. The exception being the day I brought it home a week ago. Since then I've just been letting it run for about 10-15 minutes in the driveway. This evening I just took it to the gas station which is less than a mile away...........

Steam , and why are you just letting it run in the drive way ? Why don't you drive It ?

As I mentioned, I just bought it about a week ago. I'm not quite driving it yet because it still needs some work. I just did a tune up, alternator and heater core. It still needs a leaf spring mount and most importantly plates.

It's steam. If there was coolant leaking into the oil you would know by looking at the cap. All gasoline engines produce some water in the combustion process. Same kind of thing how you can see your breath when it's cold.
