Hey everyone,
My Ranger has always seemed to shift rough when driving (automatic by the way), but lately I have the feeling the truck is shifting rougher then normal, the truck will slightly jerk when hovering around 40mph unless I stay under 40mph or accelerate through 40 to about45.
Anyway I don't usually drive that fast as I mainly only do city driving 20-35mph as with the cost of gas I just seem to drive to work and the store. I have noticed using "2" instead of "D" drive shifts much better, is there any downside to using "2" instead of drive for city driving?
I hope my transmission is not going out, I just had the fuel pump and air intake valve go out this past year.
Thanks for the help.
