Awww, man; that's nice! Really a shame about the tornado damage, but that has to be one of the most original GTs left. Where was your build sheet; under the seat or under the carpet?

-under the carpet, on the hump, to the RH side of the gear shifter, taped....

1989 Ranger Pickup 2wd
2.9 Liter Engine
Feedback fuel system
4 Cylinders, fuel injection
Catalyst, 5-Speed manual
Isn't the 2.9 a V-6?:icon_confused: The one in my garage is anyway. That is on the same sheet as the milage estimates. Otherwise it is too bad about the damage, even then it is still cleaner than 99% of the trucks of that vintage on the road.

Yeah but having the 2.9L four cylinder listed on the milage estimate part looks odd, like it should have been shown as either 2.9L six cylinder or 2.3 four cylinder and not a mix of both.

That is f-ing cool. Its got to be hard to pay that much new and never drive it though. I can't understand how people can do that. Don't get me wrong, more power to ya but I know it would drive me nuts not to drive it!

I don't think I could do it either. There was a guy last year that bought a new GT-500 from the dealership my brother works at, loaded with every option available. He had it hauled to his house in an enclosed trailer to be stored in his garage for an investment for his kids. It is quite possible that the only time the car will have been on the street was for the predelivery inspection, and he told them to make it as brief as possible to not put any more miles on it than neccessary. If it was mine I would probably be on my fourth set of tires by now...

-wasnt to hard for me, as i got this one in feb. '90 and i had only had my special ordered '88 since aug. of '88. so i had one to drive. only working to pay for it was hard. did alot of OT. still have the original '88, as seen here:

I could never buy a truck and let it sit for years without driving it. I would be enjoying it from the moment I was handed the keys. But that is just me.

How bout it! Even with the damage its a great truck with excellent miles. I figured the GT's would be loaded with power seats/windows/mirrors. I'd love to have that little truck. Nice job on not driving it much, I couldn't do it lol.
