turnining my old dell dimension 4600 into a netbox

I am in the market for a new PC. I want to use the old dell 4600 for a web surfer, also something i can use for general media purposes for my TV. Does it help to delete everything that i wont use on my TV, like office and all that crap. I have a AGP style PC for the video card so my options are limited. My PS3 will never do the job, i am ok with that. Just want to get the most out of this thing. May also use it for security cameras. Any help or useful links? thanks!

I've done something like this. My work was "throwing away" their older computers, so I managed to snag a 1ghz. Formatted the drive, installed windows and thats bout it other than security software. I use a KVM switch so I can use one mouse/keyboard/monitor for two computers. I just use the 1ghz as a dummy/downloading machine. So if it were to get a virus, I'll be out a cpl hrs of work.
