I have a 94 EB Exploder 4x4, already have a 3inch body with 31s. im looking into lifting it more to about a 4 or 6 inch susp. I have really only found the Superlift 5.5, and im not very pleased with what it has to offer...could i get a 6inch front lift from a same year ranger and lift the back with say shackles or flipping the spring seats around to do blocks....unsure what to do, anybody have any suggestions on a easy/inexpensive way to get my Explorer up??
Greatly Appreciated

for drop bracket lift kits I would suggest skyjacker. But it's not "cheap".Some of the CHEAP kits are just that CHEAP.And they have problems.Mostly the ones with "drop plates"

cheapest way would to go wold 6inches with a stage one kit, just drop brackets for the radius arms,no extened radius arms, for the front. And flip the springs over the axle in the rear with one of the flip kits, think they are like 50 bucks.

you could do the same with a 4inch kit also. But instead of fliping the rear springs, you could add a shackle and add a leaf to level it out.

the ranger kits will bolt on, just as they do for the ranger on the explorer.BUT the spring rates are going to be a little low for the explorer. And may sit lower.Since the explorer is a few extra pounds

summit. if its for an explorer get the flip kit made for the f150 they both have 8.8's with 31 spline axles. just did it not too long ago on my friends ex.

actually, the SOA only gives about 4" of lift, and if you wanted six you would have to use the SOA and a shackle kit.

Hey Samsonite... is this the kit that you used on your buddy's sploder? Summit says it will lower the F-150 4-5 in. in the rear, but it would be lift on the sploder because the spring is going the opposite direction from flipping the F-150.

I have my eye on a sploder to replace the deuce, and this could come in handy... as opposed to finding a j/y ranger axle that has matching specs.
