throttle cable bracket?


I don't have the p/n or pic of any stock bracket. I can tell you though the wrecking yard is a great place to get one. They only cost a few dollars and I make sure to get 2 or 3 different ones (off of vans, cars, F150s) because hard telling exactly which one you will need. A little brake clean and a shot of paint and they look new.

I usually weld on additional metal to stiffen them up because they do flex a bit, especially if the carb or return spring is stiff. I run extra long studs and shim the bracket to the correct height. This also makes it easier if you want to experiment with carb spacers later on.

i used the one off of a broke mustang I had in my lot. Just cleaned it up and intstalled it.
