hi i was hoping for a quick answer so i'll know what to do once its warm enough outside to start working on my truck.i'm chasing some wires and one goes to this

its a connector/plug? with a plug in the end that has 4 pins inside.what does it do?
 
o.k. here's a quick diagram i made of the two plugs.the only difference going into it is the 91 has a TAN-white going in and the 92 has GREY-white.i think it will be fine since the wires both go to terminal 36 on the firewall connector.i'm mostly curious what the hell is going on in that plug since 7 wires go in and there are only 4 prongs on the plug?:icon_confused:

It's the plug for the DRL module that you don't have.

What is DRL? Daytime Running Lamps

Mandated in Canada and some other places.

Not used in the US.

It's headlight wiring.

thanks!allen you don't know why it has the 4 pins inside do you? to complete the circuit without the DRL'S?
 
Yes, the plug/cover is a jumperto complete the circuit.
