Hey all im about to finally lift my truck off the ground a bit. im thinking of going with the 3 inch body lift kit from rough country. Am i going to have to extend my steering stem or anything? also im putting a set of 33x12.5x15 inch tires on it. can i use the stock aluminum wheels? or do i need to get wider rims? ive seen pictures of 33 inch tires mounted on the stock rims but am unsure if i should do that or invest on some new rims? thanks Kyle

you could use your stock rims but some people would say buy a new set.

My credo
The fun begins where the pavement ends
I would recommend getting a set of wider rims, Most likely 15x8's

you do not need to extend your steering there is two plastic pins on the side of the stem just drill them out and loosin the bolt and it will be ok. also look into running those 33s i could only run 32s with my body lift unless i cut the fenders out.

I have '94 Mazda b4000 extended cab ,when I first bought it, had a 3" body lift and 33's fit on it with no trimming, with stock rims. Although it did hit on the front fender when turning and going into a parking lot with the speed bumps in it. Other than that no worries.

I think if u got the money, straight axle conversion is the best way to go. I have a ford 9" and a dayna 44 lifted 12" on 37x14x15 irok's, and I am very happy with it.

5 speed 94 b4000 locked and lifted

Yet another staight axle conversion suggestion.....take it with a grain of salt original poster. Im not a fan of it, although IF i had the money i would do it and probably suggest it to other people too.

Someday.

Ya I have the pic in my sig. It has the 8" skyjacker lift and 3" body lift with the 36" tsl's on it, works great offroad. Sorry didn't mean to jack your thread.:icon_cheers:
