Will start in park, but can't shift out of park. If battery disconnected can then get car out of park. Hooked up to diagnostic computer, shows "NO Code". Any Suggestions as to what the problem may be????

check to see if the sensor the check if you are holding the brake pedal while you shift out of park..

won't shift out of park

I replaced the switch on the brake pedal, didn't make a difference.

Do the brake lights work? If the switch is new and the lights don't work then you have either a bad switch out of the box, or a bad wire somewhere around the switch.

you have a problem with the shift interlock. gain access and test for good power and ground to the interlock solenoid while the brake pedal is pressed down and key is on

This is not a fix, but you can turn the key one notch forward and it will bypass the interlock. You can move the shifter to neutral without your foot on the brake, start the truck, then drive normally.

I would check the fuses and then do this ^^.

My wifes car had this problem and I ended up taking out the switch to get it out of park and drivable. Swapped in a new switch and now everything is good. I bet thats you're problem. Her's was all gunked up from a spilled soda :annoyed:

Saw one once, wouldn't come out of park, kid had been playing with the power mirrors which shared a fuse with the brake light circuit. He put them all the way over and held the joystick there, popped the fuse, and cost his mom $75 diag.
