CHANGE ALL HOSES

first I had the little heater supply hose elbow thing out of the water pump blow a few months ago, now one of the hoses to the oil cooler blew on me tonight, while the engine is out and available CHANGE THE DAMN CHEAP HOSES. I'm moving this weekend, not what I needed to happen now...

i agree...I can't pass up the opportunity to change that stuff while it's already off.

I've never pulled an engine without replacing all belts, hoses, water pump, and thermostat.

yeah, I did everything but the hoses... and now kick myself... I'm just now settling down from being freaked out, hopefully I didn't cause any damage...

so far so good... will find out tomorrow if anything is wrong

so scott, how did it work out for ya? hope you didnt starve the turbo for oil.

the oil pressure was fine, it was the coolant hose to the cooler that blew.

ahh, awesome, i would call that reason to shat my pants.

yeah, it took me a good 2 or 3 hours to settle down after I got home... still not 100% sure I didn't hurt anything, but it still pulls just as hard as it did before the incident.
