Well last year i blew out the fm-146 in my old ranger and my dad made me get rid of it. (after i had it all tore apart and just needed a new trans)
So I sold it to Jim for a whopping $300.
I then bought a 2003 Focus SVT. He wouldn't let me get another truck because he said it wasn't "practical". Grr, its my money and i should be able to get what i want! O well she is a beast and is super fast.
Now we come to a couple of weeks ago. I was looking for a winter beater and have always loved the '79-86 style ford full sized trucks. I found her on craigslist for $700, and i talked him down to $450.
I present- THE HULK
lol my buddy had some left over stickers so i threw em on, figured it would add 50 hp.
1979 F-150 4x4 short bed. It used to have a step side but the PO cut the sides off . Its got the 351m, C6, Np205, D44 front (with limited slip), 9" rear. 5" lift sitting on 36" TSL's. It only needed a new rear slip yoke, and CV head on the driveshaft to be road worthy. O and the PO shelled the rear gears when he neutral dropped it from 4k . So the front has 4.11's and the rear has 3.5"s. lol Dont you dare put it in 4wd on solid pavement!
Future plans:
New windshild, PO buddys head went through it
New lights
New door skins with mirrors
Build a tube or square tube bed
Rebuild the whole motor and drive train.
O and if your interested, heres my svtf
Tell me what ya think! i think i got a good deal
