Steering box in place of the rack?

have a 1996 EXplorer 5.0 AWD, and wanting to make it a SAS but would like to use a steering box instead of the :sad:

rack......
Saw a 97 with a SAS and 1st generation steering box but no pics of swap or info(its for sale) and wondering if anyone else has done this. details/links/directions much appreciated. :icon_thumby:

Common practice on all IFS-SAS swaps.

Just look into all the builds of 98+ SAS Rangers

read the whole thread and it turns out I already have most of the pieces I need. :icon_thumby:

I saw a narrowed fullsize Dana 44 HP on coils and thats probably what I will use.

my last offroad truck was a 79 supercab shortbed 60/70 351m 4spd/205, 6" skyjackers all around , both axles detroit locked. 38/12.5/16.5 swampers. (and I had more hair/nokids)

this one will be on a little smaller butget
