Hey guys, I was wondering what it would take for me to be able to fit some 33x12.5x15 tires on my 89 B2. I already have 15" wheels (stock), would those work with that wide of a tire? Will I have clearance issues? Thanks guys!

I figured the stockers would be pretty slim judging from the fact I run 275's on 11 inch wide rims on my car. Anyone know what the largest tire is that's safe/common to run on the stock wheels?

I personally wouldn't run any wider than a 10.50 on stock rims. So you could get 33x10.50s or 31x10.50. If you look at the specs of the tire it will tell you the rim width range for the the tire.

The alternative would be buying some wheels, you can get Cragar Soft 8's in 15x8 for $40/ea.

A 3" body or suspension lift and some fender triming should do it if you keep the stock backspacing on the wheels. I would get some wider wheels, or go with a narrower tire, though. DON'T FEAR THE SAWSALL!!!

also those 15 inch rims will NOT fit that wide a tire :icon_surprised: you can NOT run a 12.50 tire on a stock rim:icon_rofl::icon_rofl::icon_rofl:

12.50's will fit on a stock 7" rim. i've done it before and seen many people do it before. wheeled the hell out of them and never had a problem. (not saying its the right thing to do)

ok if you only drive off road :icon_thumby:but if you drive high speed with full air presure :icon_surprised:it will wear the center real quick :icon_thumby:

Wheel spacers are an option as well......... I'm running 1in because the wheels I wanted didn't come in the spacing I needed.

Yeah for a 12.5 a 9in or wider rim would be ideal.

I run 32x11.5 on stock 7" wide wheels, I have probably 30xxx on them and the wore nice and even across, I probably wouldn't go to a 12.5 on them though I would use at least a 8" wide wheel if not a 10"
