2.3 to 302 ford ranger

So i have a 93 ranger 2.3L and im wanting to drop in a 75-78 ford crown Victoria 302. ive never did anything like this before and i was wondering what i would need and what to do.

what you do is leave yours a 2.3 and trade me for my 84 with a 302 already in it. lol.

You read this forum, and other forums devoted to swapping a small block ford into a Ford Ranger.

Then you decide you don't need a swap kit and you really want a slightly more powerful motor.

Hey get a 302 from a exploder or fox body mustang GT, I put one in mine from a town car and wish otherwise.

The exploder engines and HO 302's have better heads and camshafts and better pistons from what I gather, plus a roller valvetrain.

Those weren't the only applications with better heads and cams and roller lifters. Those are only two of many.
