mid 82 302 change?

what changes did the 302 undergo in mid 1982? i bought a gasket set on ebay yesterday and didnt notice that it said fits up to mid 82. i have an 86 motor. what is the difference? am i screwed for the whole set? or just the valve cover gaskets or what?

Rear main seal is is main change..

Well the rear main doesn't come with the set, so am I okay?

yes should be, the rear main seal is 2-piece in the 82 down vs 1-piece and the intake gaskets(if it dosent come with to sets) the 82-down has small coolant passages for the intake vs 82+ has larger coolant passages,

and if you have a knock sensor, then the rear manifold gasket is different i think but you can use a bead of black rtv there instead, oil pan gaskets the same

thats the differences i notice between my 67 289 to 90 302, that and balance 289s or 28oz vs 50oz for 302

that last kit i bought for my 289 had early FI f150 gaskets(for a 85-86 f150)
