Okay so while I'm test triving it, it feels like it is pulling something. I was forced to give it a lot of gas and let the clutch out slowly just to get started. I was pretty sure it was the rear brakes that were a little stuck. The farther I go, the harder and harder it becomes to move. At one point, I was traveling 25 miles per hour in second gear at 3500 RPM's just to keep her moving! I got back to the guy's place and immediately knew it was the front brakes sticking. The rims were coated in brake dust and smelled really really burnt. They guy said he had a shop put a new master cylinder in and that it pay need some adjustment. He said if I buy it, we can take it to a shop and have them fix it and he'll cover the bill. I am thinking of asking him if he finds out it's $200 to fix, then we'll buy it and take that off the price and I'll fix it myself!
Well, what do you guys think???

Go for it. Tell him to drop the price. Calipers are only about $25 with core.

Could be the screw adjustment on the push rod out of the booster. Someone could have messed with it.

x2! not bad looking and not many miles for the year really. and while you're doing the brakes, you'd do well to swap to manual hubs, imho.

I like it. I'd go for it for sure. Get rid of that rust asap though. I miss the ol' 2.9 early gen's. That makes me want one really bad now!

Buy it and never look back. Well worth the money.

I had the same front brake lock up - apparently it's very common. X3 on replacing those front calipers.

Yes, if you don't, send me a link or let me know where it is at.

I'd buy it. Looks like some one added a bunch of bondo in the last picture. Could mean that the rust is worse then it looks. It wouldn't stop me from taking it home though :D

I'd buy it, or at least consider buying it.... especially if he'll cover the cost of the brake issue.

Of course, I've never bought a BII for more than $340. (my 88). My choptop was $160, my 86 was $250, my 89 I sold was $240...... and I sold that '89 for $1,850 and the guy paid me another couple hundred to fix a few things...

Do it. I want one bad, but I can't get it, no room for a new family member.

i say take 700 cash and ask him if he will take it

Damn, $900? I like B2's a lot but I would never pay that much for that one. $4-500 max. All three of mine were in better shape and the most I paid was $200.

Thanks everyone for all of your input. Thats not bondo on the rear fenders. It's one of those little clear plastic pieces that protects the fender "flares" from getting hit with rocks and road debris. It's probaby about 15 years old and its starting to crack. Looks like someone painted over it - I don't know.

I am going with my dad and grandpa on Saturday (I hope) to really, really look it over good. This will be the most money I have ever spent and I'm pretty nervous. If I do end up getting this, it will motivate me to get my butt moving and finish my $600 Ranger Project. Christmas break is almost here so I'll have some time to get everything done.

Thanks again
