Hi guys. Im new to this site and i was wondering if you could help me out.
I got a 1990 bronco 2 4x4 and im having clutch problems. We bled the master clutch cylinder and got fluid to run out while we were doing it but it didn't make a difference. I have to shut it off then shift into the gear, and go, i can push the clutch in and stop, but i can't shift when im going. Do you have any tips for me or do I just need a new cylinder?

I had something similar happen to my 91 ranger. It would leak fluid and when it got low, I could depress the clutch enough to stop, but not shift. I ended up replacing the slave cylinder.

check you reservoir for fluid, see if it's leaking somewhere. maybe stick you finger in the observation hole in the bell housing to see if you can feel any fluid. Changing the slave cylinder is a pain because you have to remove the trans to get at it so I would be 100% sure it's not something else first.

Sounds like ur slave. I was constantly adding fluid to mine til it finally gave out. If u do decide its ur slave and change it. Change everything. U can get clutch sets for under 200 bucks. It is a PITA to take everything out to change it, so while ur in there, change it all. BTW. make sure u have 12 point sockets for the driveshafts

Thanks guys but I checked and im not leaking any fluid. Do you have any other suggestions?

Try pumping the clutch like you would if you brakes if they had air in the line. You may have messed up bleeding the clutch. I would still put my money on a bad slave though.
