So I was reading the tech section article on the Jeep Hubs and the following sentence caught my attention:

"One thing I did notice was the standard hub has a roller bearing for the axleshaft gear to ride on while unlocked. The Jeep hub uses a simple copper bushing. Not sure if this was a cost cutting measure but I wonder if the bushing will be shorter-lived for wear. This does not appear to be something that would affect strength, however."

I've just ordered the Jeep hubs as a replacement for my unreliable to say the least auto hubs, but my truck is a daily driver as well; so I'm having second thoughts on if I should be buying the "regular" Ford hubs instead for the sake of durability....

Any thoughts? I can still cancel and re-order :icon_confused:

You will have no probs with reliability with these hubs...I have run both the 37780's (Jeep) and the 37770's (Ranger) with great results, I busted the 80's backing up a steep hilltrying to rescue a Jeep that thought he could follow me anywhere, he got high centered, anyways, my buddy just upgraded from Mile Marker hubs to Warn 70's (went the cheap route, but only by $10) and Warn has a lifetime warranty, so he swapped them out for me...I had about 150k miles on the Jeep hubs with no probs other than too much load put to them....60% slope + heavy foot in reverse + 37" Iroks = breakage...
