I had a release candidate of MS server 2008 a few years ago and it was the only free antivirus I could get for a server OS.

you had to update it manually tho..

AVG did not have a free client for a server OS. they only offer the freebie to a regular PC. Atleast this was the case in 2007 when I played around with Server 2008 RC.

AVG used to work, (2 years ago) however, they have not allowed any NT server based platform to be free. XP vista and 7 are the only platforms that are free.
