Went to Rowher Flats today (38 acres of legal OHV trails), it was fun good quality trails. Only rant is it really needs a rain, the locals have been anticipating it for to long so once the word got out it got thrashed on. So after a good rain should be ready for some good mobbin. While we were there today it caught fire for a short time so I hope it doesn't get shut down again...

They ruined that place by plowing the only two trails with any small challenge into "paved" roads :annoyed:

(Ok well not really a "challenge" but c'mon... You can drive a damn AWD passenger car up Lookout and Rowher trails now  )

Incidentally, the Drinkwater Flats OHV area off San Francisquito is open now too.

ya its a tame little pony now, but hopefully after all this rain it will be all ruted up again and a challnge, also they dirt burmed a few of the off shoots aswell

Where is Rowher Flats?

It's just above the Santa Clarita/Saugus area (or about 30 miles or so north of downtown LA).

Lots of trails if you have a quad or dirt bike, but only two real trails for street-legal 4x4s unless you go over to the next ridge to Drinkwater, there's some more trails for 4x4s there (all of these trails have fairly steep hillclimbs).
