Hello,

I recently had my tires replaced and suddenly heard a squeaking noise from the right front wheel. Going over bumps it sounded like the shock was gone. The other day I drove over some grass and now I hear loud clanking noise from tire. It sounds like loose metal banging. It also squeals when turning wheel.

Is this ball joint? I was told I need control arm for upper and lower ball joint. There is no CV joint on this truck. Also, there is no shimmying in steering. Is this okay to drive for next dayor so? Never over 50 mph and mostly highway in right lane.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

Have you checked the brakes out? some of them have replacement indicators when they are worn to a certain point and a metal tab hits the rotor. When its on the edge you can here it only when turning and bumps and stuff...

It could be front end parts too, What year is it? I am assuming a 2wd too. Go to a shop or do it yourself and shake down the front end to feel for loose stuff. Jack up the front tires on the suspension not the frame to simulate its still on the ground, then geet a crowbar or something stick it under the tire pull up and back down trying to simulate bumps. Grab either side of the tire and shake it from side to side to cheack steering components, then the top and bottom to check the wheel bearing. if it feels like something is loose get a friend to look under at the parts while you do it. Then pull off the tires and look at the brakes. if they are less then... 2 -3mm replace the pads.
