Have a chance to pick up a pair of bucket seats out of an 87 Mustang or an 89 Mustang. One has lumbar support. One has new upholstry. My question is will either one of these fit in my '06 Ext. Cab Ranger?

ummm to my knowledge no, the floor patter is diffrent and and besides the seats are probably not better than your stock ones being that old, butif you really want em you can talk to any one on here, that anythings possible with some fabrication and customization. but as far as bolt up i highly doubt it.

Thanks 93baker for your reply I think I'll pass on the Mustang seats. The only reason I considered them was they were mentioned in the Tech Library. This is my second Ranger. I just totalled my '97. The seats in it were very comfy. My '06 is terribly uncomfortable and I would like to replace them. I see a lot of people have replaced their seats with Explorer seats. My next question would be "How would Explorer seats fit in my '06."

um explorer seats from 01 up *should* bolt in. but im not a 100% sure on late model cars.

Here's a crazy thought: What about trying to find a good set of seats from a '97 or newer Ranger? They SHOULD bolt right in. Plus, you might get lucky and find a set the same color as your interior.

dude i know what you mean about the seats. i took my cover off and hacked out some of the padding and took off the headrests so i can now see out the back side windows and sit comfortably. im looking into sport trac seats, myself. leather perhaps? :-P
