First, I appreciate everyone's knowledge and willingness to share on this forum. I've been a longtime lurker who's learned much. I purchased a 1998 2.5, 2WD, XLT this year and am slowly getting it "reconditioned". It's got 114K on it now. My question: I'm working the suspension now getting the control arm and ball joints, etc. I'm looking for shocks and keep seeing... "exc. High Ryder Option"... The manual or nothing I look up defines "High Ryder". The truck sits taller than others but is not lifted. What is High Ryder and how may I confirm whether I have it or not?
