Does anyone have a Trailer brake controller on their truck. I don't do any heavy towing, but the only thing I have is my grandpa's trailer which only has a 7-pin and even my dad's explorer doesn't stop too nice with the trailer on the back with no TBC. I'd like to put a controller and 7 pin in my truck so I can use that trailer and not have to worry about it.

I'm wondering what setups other guys may have used to get an idea of what I need to get (I know the obvious parts) and what does and doesn't work well.

?

Do you already have the brake box?

New or used? If you don't have any directions on wirin, I can see if I can dig mine out, as I put the brake box in my tow rig. I bought it off ebay with no instructions, so I asked our wirin guru at work, he drew me up a diagram, I've still got it somewhere..................

I don't actually have any parts yet, I'm just starting to look, and I'm half decent with wiring, I just seem to be having some trouble finding a box kit or a plug kit that has wires with it. probably 90% of the kits i've seen today had 7 pole plugs on the back of the connector, and no wires with the box. I'm more looking for brands that make good stuff.

I also have all the original factory books for my truck, so wiring isn't an issue.
