Stacked 4.0

Thinking about stacking the 4.0. :icon_twisted:

I had one on my 2.3 back in high school as a joke, because all my buddies had diesels. But it kind of grew on me, now I miss it.
I hate chrome and I am hate huge stacks even on a diesel, so I am thinking a single 2.5 or 3 inch with a turn out.

Like I had on my 2.3, I think it was like 2.25 or maybe smaller.

I already have single 2.5 welded up, and I dont want to screw with it again. To run stack I just have to turn my side exit 90* and cut a hole in the bed, then clamp the stack on (I would weld it, but I want to be able switch back when I decide I dont like it anymore.)

A stack on a gasser is ghey. But I have a stack. Wait. What the hell does that mean?

If you wheel in dry areas I'd say that's fine. I don't want to burn down the rockies cause I parked next to some dry grass for a little while to take pictures.

Mine is just plain ole exhaust pipe, 2.5", comes out side the chassis, and up and has a tiny little turn off. Sounds like a pissed off little 3.0 with out the muff.

On a mud bogger I helped build we had a stack right after the manifold come through the floor and end with a tractor flapper. This was a 92 Cherokee I6. It sounded positively badass. It also had a plumbing pipe snorkel tha hissed when you revved it.

I drove it to Prom, parked it on the lawn in front of the auditorium and revved the piss out of it. Classy. That's me driving in this pic.

And on my next gasser bogger it is getting a stack too. Muffler's hang way to low.

Thats kinda what got me thinking about agian. I pull gravity wagons in wheat stubble and corn. The stubble is nice and dry and rubbing the hot pipe.
