Hi guys. Hoping someone could help me out.
I took my B3000 to the get the check engine light diagnosed and the guy said that the Vehicle Speed Sensor was bad. I know that there was a problem due to the fact that whenever I start the truck, it idles at 400-500 RPM then at some point during the drive it jumps back up to normal idle RPM's.
In doing some research (because I'm poor and can't afford to take to a mechanic) I'm not sure if the 2001 Rangers/B3000's have VSS's or not. If it doesn't then it definetly has a OSS. Can it have both? I'm just hoping this is just a simple swap that I can do myself. The guy at Discount Auto Parts said that it was a expensive part that can only be gotten thru Ford, but I'm not convinced.
Just need some help =D
Thanks
