alright well this may be a dumb question i dont care, i just always hear people sayin they had to get there clutch changed cuz they shifted gears in deep water an the clutched sucked up water? how does that happen

like my trail truck im building is standard an i wanna know what to do like if i get stuck in water do i push the clutch in or let the truck die? havnt wheeled a standard before im used to autos. so i just wanna kno before i screw my truck up.

thanks.

ive never heard of that. i put my ranger and exploders though water and only got stuck once. depending on how deep it was i would just service my trans. i did once have my rangers clutch get sloppy with goo and it made the clutch slip till it wore/burned off. wasnt a big deal

Yea I've seen quite a few get packed full of mud. Usually just hose them out till the water comes out clean, and drive it.

Never heard of it on a RBV put my friend got his Ram stuck in water for a couple of hours had to change trans filter and fluid when done trans wouldn't work properly until (very slugish). but it was an auto aswell.

oh alright lol well i guess i was just hearing it wrong or miss something. sorry for the dumb question. mods can delete this thread.
