i just put the stock replacement spark plug in my motor a couple months ago and now they are miss firing what the hell and i was wonder what is a better plug to put into the motor because the are getting returned because of defective and all have is problems with these plugs misfiring please recommend plugs to replace mine !!!:icon_confused:

Never had a problem with motorcrafts...are the plugs you have motorcrafts or just an aftermarket replacement? NGK, BOSCH, etc.?

I use Bosch plats in my 96' 2.3l Ranger. Never had any problems them. Autolite, Motorcraft, and Bosch seem to work good. Just a word of advice. Don't get the spark plugs with 2 or more eletrodes unless the engine speficially calls for one. A simple plug, plat, or Ir spark plug will work.

Motorcraft plugs are all I use. I doubt that all 6 of your plugs are actually defective. I somewhat highly suspect that either you have a coil issue (very possible at 13 years old) or that whoever installed them didn't take the time to gap them properly. I did that once on my sister's car b/c I was in a hurry and being lazy, durn thing missed and carried on and ran terrible for a week until I went back and set the gap right.

They where motorcraft plugs and it was only one pug that was bad but i do have a intake gasket leak and i think that was what cause the problem and did something to the plug but i still have a miss fire and its a brand new coil pack but the motor has 293,000 miles on it time for a rebuild or junkyard motor what ever is cheaper!!!
