Won't Take CD!

My buddy just put a new head unit in his truck and everything works fine except it won't take a CD. You can't even force it in, it feels like there's something stopping it from going in. When you hit the CD button to make it read a disc(although there's none in it) it just says eject and I can hear it trying to eject a CD(that isn't in there). Everything else works fine.
Any ideas what the problem is?

No idea, personally i would just pull it out and return it if you can, not worth messing with. There's not much you can do as far as repair goes with a head-unit unless you are skilled with electronics.

there are usually 2-3 screws on the top of the deck. you can easily remove them and pop off the top cover to see if possibly there is something in there.

also see if there is a reset button on it. its usually just a pinhole that resets it to default settings. otherwise take that sucker back.

sounds like somebody jammed a CD in it and took it back and it got put back on the shelf...just return it.
