Fuel Tank Question

So I have 1997 Explorer AWD V8 and a 1998 Ranger, soon to be one. I am getting everything ready over the winter then I will do the complete swap next summer. I was wondering about the fueling issues. I know the 97 ex has a return line, so what is the easiest solution? Does the ex tank fit in the ranger without major construction?

all need to do is put an fitting in the top of the sender for the reurn line . like an 90 fitting .drill an hole of course ..
