mount it where its best visible to you. a pillar for some, top of the dash for others

I had a small sunpro tac in the dummy vent in my '94. I cut a piece of exhaust pipe that was the right size to fit around it at an angle and held it in the vent with a hose clamp. I cut a piece of 16 gauge stainless to fit in the "vent" and cut a hole in that for the tac/ exhaust tube to fit into.
Sorry if thats a little hard to follow... I'm really tired and ready for bed. I may be able to get a pic of what it looks like in the truck tomorrow.

hose clamped it to my steering column, got it just so that it isn't in the way of anything, but perfectly visible past the wheel. I have the mini tho. I guess it'd be right about 2 on the column.
The one I have is like 3" in Dia. If I put it on the colum I would not be able to see any of my oyher gauges.

I had one of the small ones and had it in the dummy vent. If you've got a bigger one, put it on the steering column.
