i have a 2wd ranger i am contemplating converting to 4wd. i've read everything i can find on the subject. i'm left with a question or 2
first off i know it's easier to buy a 4wd but i really would like to keep this truck if i can and the motor is a practically brand new 4.0
i know the engine crossmember is different and the hardest part about it. if i was going to buy a 4wd i would be modifying the mounts anyways.
Does anyone know of a thread or have any knowledge about modifying the
2wd crossmember to mount the ttb's to without removing the motor? aside from locating the points and all that. i also know that the pumpkin needs a bit of room with the 2wd crossmember. would all this be possible from the bottom?
