just wondering what would be easier.....
My 99 2wd xlt with manual door locks have stopped working on the driver side, the key just wiggles in the key lock but unlocks the passanger door and starts the truck, and the spare key just unlocks the door it wont start my truck.
Ive tried lubing it up (not with wd40, ive read it makes it worse) but didnt work SO
would it be easier to swap out BOTH door cylinders so the same key works for the door but have a different ignition key?
or
would it be easier to try and get a key cut for my door that will hopefully unlock it and still work for my passenger door and ignition?
or
just have the dealership instal new cylinders and ignition so it is all the same key?
