Way to raise front to make level with the rear add a leaf lift

I want to put a 1.5in add a leaf spring lift on the rear of my 02 ranger edge. problem is i cant figure out the best way to raise up the front. ive heard spacers arn't any good. ive thought about just cranking my torsion bars up 1 inch just so it isn't nose diving (it would just be about .5 inches lower than the factory front to back slant). I know the torsion bars will stiffen the ride up and with the add a leaf all ready stiffening it some i would like to find another option.
 
there isnt really.

try the torsion bar crank and see how you like it. if the ride sucks, then put it back down.

coil spacers work, its just that if your really building something, then if there is a better option, everything else sucks compared to that option. what your doing is relatively minor so IMO spacers would be fine.

the best way to figure something out is to try it and see how it looks.
 
I wouldnt touch the torsion bar. Tightening it up will increase the front end but will limit the flex of it. Easiest way to lift the front end an inch or 2 would be to just buy some leveling springs. You can get 2 springs for the front end for like 100 bucks. Add a leaf is cheap, like 30-40 bucks or so. I would just pick up the front leveling coils and then take your truck in and get the front end aligned. Then if you still want to you can raise the rear end if you wanted.
 
Read what you just posted and think it over a bit.....:annoyed:. If he's got Tbars, he can't add leveling coils.....Unless you crank them all the way to the stops it won't be that bad, just turn them up enough to make it sit level, or closer to it.

If he's got torsion bars, how the heck is he going to use coil spacers? The torsion bars ARE the springs, they're not radius arms or anything like that. The only way to adjust the front height is to crank up the bars.

Rangers do not ride rough when cranked only about 1.5". Also, flex is negligible from the factory, so it really doesn't matter what you'll lose.
