You will need to modify the radiator wall to get a bigger or better radiator in there. You will also run into the problem of clearence to the engine. On my 1st try I used a brass 4 core and got it in to mount on the original pads and made some upper brackets. I used a electric fan from James Duff and had only 1/4 of clearence from the water pump pulley. I upgraded to an Afco 4 core aluminium and did some more cutting and now I have close to 3/4 of clearence. Only problem is the radiator is basically touching the grill now on the lower side. 98% of time you will lose your a/c due to no room for the condensor. I have a 4 core brass James Duff radiator I might part with. It was used for about 6 months.

You could try one from a 4.0 ranger.
I know the rads changed later, either by '95 or possible the '93 changes.
But I'm using the stock 4.0 rad from my '97, and mine runs very cold. I performed minor mods to tuck up against the core suppoert, and drop it below the top of the core support. Your truck does have a different front frame and core support, but I'm sure you could make something work affordably.
