Redjosh
10-18-2009, 03:05 PM

You gonna put a bed back on or some tube back there? Never been a big fan of just bare frame...
Redjosh
10-18-2009, 04:26 PM
The bed was removed cause it was a little beat up from following around Bronco 2's rangers and jeeps in the woods. But now the frame is bent from being pushed/lifted out of a mud bog so I can't get a bed back on it
plan this winter is to completely redo the truck. Well axles up that is

cause its a dodge what? Is why it got deleted or cause Its a stock dodge drive train that turns rocks and 50" tractor tires
Kinda funny how the two guys with 2wd rangers make the comment

The trans overheated, Because it's a Dodge:icon_thumby:
It's a Mopar thing, we wouldn't understand.:icon_rofl:
JK, I like it. Though... 440-TF727-divorced NP205 would be a much better drivetrain.

Chris Collinsworth? Is that you? (http://deadspin.com/5358393/cris-collinsworth-is-sorry)
The bare frame is the reason the truck got bent up. A pickup frame isn't meant to be run without a body on it.

actually the reason the trans over heated is my fault not dodge I hooked my trans lines up backwards so it didn't flow besides that its never overheated on me. Its been abused just a little bit but still kickin
i am going with a divorce 205 but am planning on a Cummins I like the smoke and love pulling people out
yea Will i found that out the hard way but O well I am planing on making a flat frame or getting a 1ton frame
O Anyone can understand the dodge thing you just have to want more room in the cab of your truck is all

Redjosh

zukrider let me know when you have a truck that is worth talking about but as for the smoke is cause I put the motor together the week before that bog with used parts and the valve seals where not sooo great
If you just want to see your self type just go to word and hit the keys a bunch and be done with it

can't believe the winers around here... what happened to run what you brung, have fun doing it and don't harrass the other guy... i thought those were the three main rules of playimg in the mud... there are more of course but those seemed the most prudent at this point...:icon_thumby:

not to get in the middle, but my friend has a 2000 dodge that the trans is going out, he just had new ball joints, tie rod ends, an wheel bearings installed...it has 60k miles lol you can drive a ranger 200K an not replace anything..hmm.. But in all honest I DO like the original poster's dodge, I can tell you did some fab work to get that beast going:icon_thumby::icon_welder:

The 3rd picture johnnyu put up is a first place run and the first time I came back home after moving to MN.
There is a ton to be said about having a smaller truck it was a breeze to tow on 35s and 38s now on 50s its a pain in the butt especially hauling it 8 plus hours

I like it, i wouldnt run a mopar drive train in it, id personally go with a 460 and c6 or somethine along those lines, but anyone who uses rockwells and tractor tires does some serious mudding, nothing like what what a little 4 banger and some 33's will do lol

hey idk were finalyson, mn is but if you know were rochester, mn is there is a great offroad shop i believe its called "clarks" or something like that and basicly all they do is sell 2.5 ton and bigger axles and tires over 44" out front they have huge racks probably about 10 feet high with hundereds of axles on them. they also have a huge ass garage for builting trucks and rebuilding axles and stuff. might wanna check it out
Redjosh

I will have to look in to Clarks. I know there is ouverson engineering that does a ton of aftermarket parts. http://www.oemaxle.com/ pretty cool guy too
If i can fit down a trail I will still run it but I don't want to cut branches so my windshield doesn't get bashed all the time also the 30 point turns would get old
